A week of peace in what can only be described as heaven on earth ❤️ from slow, cosy, mindful cooking on the aga, to unwinding in front of the wood burner at the end of every magical day. We swam with seals in the loch, kayaked with dolphins, an otter, incredible bird life and many very cute and inquisitive seals who followed us around as we paddled.

Catherine Pennels-Cronje, November 2023

Pier Cottage is really an amazing place, in a wonderfully quiet spot on the side of a sea loch. The Cottage is very comfortable (importantly the beds are super comfy too), with everything you might need, and much more besides.

Nicola Robb, April 2024 Pier Cottage

Hi, we’re loving it here so much, we’re booking for next year while the dates are still available!

Pat & Mark Blayney, June 2024 Point Cottage

Wow. Every now and then you stumble across somewhere very special, a place to unwind and draw breath – Point Cottage is that place and more.

Carla, London, May 2024 Point Cottage

It seems ridiculous to say, but the pictures don’t do it justice as they can’t describe the sense of tranquility which enveloped us when we arrived and didn’t leave until long after we’d (reluctantly) left.

Andy, Newcastle upon Tyne, May 2024 Point Cottage

Excellent stay. Kayaks were a bonus! House is exactly as described and there was plenty of room and space for all of the family.

Kayleigh, May 2024

Simply one of the best AirBnB locations at which we have stayed. Truly magical and the hosts are amazing.

Azizah Stephen, May 2024

As for the location. We can’t begin to describe how perfect it was. We were spoilt with the weather, so spent most of our days hiking the hills, paddle boarding or windsurfing, finishing our evenings with a barbecue on the private beach with cocktails. We were lucky to spot Eagles, and an array of wetland birds and were visited by porpoises and seals.

The Loch StrivenExperience

Located on the Cowal Peninsula in the heart of Argyll and Bute, Glenstriven Estate was first established in the 19th century as a popular hunting destination for the Scottish aristocracy.

The shooting lodge, Glenstriven house, has now been refurbished to an exceptional standard and is a worthy centrepiece for one of Scotland’s last true secluded countryside estates.

Over the centuries, Glenstriven has played host to many a sporting event with the good and the great travelling from all over the country, and later the world, to enjoy a spot of hunting or fishing in a truly spectacular setting.

Nowadays, Glenstriven is a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life and the tranquil setting remains as popular as ever with wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Whether you go exploring the picturesque landscapes or sit back, put your feet up and bask in the incredible views, a visit to Glenstriven promises an unforgettable experience in a land steeped in Scottish tradition and charm.
